Mario Molina

Bio: Mario Molina is a software engineer working on projects for building data products in the banking sector at Datio.

He has been working in the IT sector mainly focused in designing and implementing architectures for data management since 2005.

His main interests are open source software, distributed systems, databases and all the latest research in these fronts with a passion for ‘all things data’.

Title: Connecting things with Kafka Connect

Abstract:
Kafka Connect is an open source framework for scalably and reliably connecting Kafka with external systems such as object stores, databases, key-values stores, file systems, among others. Its connectors (sources & sinks) are ready-to-use components to help us to move data into and out of Kafka.

In this talk, we’ll see the core concepts within Kafka Connect and do a live demo streaming data in & out from it!
